Friederike Delius of STUDIO BERG is one of the eleven designers behind Matter of Course, a collective of independent female designers from Berlin, founded in 2021. After their first show abroad, ICH und DU in Milan, they went to Paris together.
From 16 to 20 January 2025, Matter of Course made its debut at Maison&Objet in Paris, in Hall 7 as part of Women&Design, a new programme for women in design.

The fair was also the launch of JELLO: hand-blown glass cloches shaped like historic jelly moulds, piled up in every shade of pink like a dessert table.
Under a red-and-white awning, like a little sweet shop, the stand also showed CANDY mirrors, side tables and coat hooks, KNSTRKT, VIIE VASES 2.0 and FOLDWORK: the whole world of STUDIO BERG in one place. CANDY was also selected for What’s New? In Decor, the special exhibition curated by Elizabeth Leriche at the fair.
Living at Home picked the JELLOs for its trend tour through the fair, Schöner Wohnen featured them in „So schön surreal“, its round-up of the Paris fairs, Houzz showed KNSTRKT among its highlights of the fair, and the Spanish magazine Diseño Interior discovered the collective there and wrote about it. In the months after the fair, Raum und Wohnen and ELLE picked JELLO, ELLE Decoration showed JELLO and introduced Matter of Course, and Schöner Wohnen portrayed the collective.
