Friederike Delius of STUDIO BERG is one of the eleven designers behind Matter of Course, a collective of independent women designers from Berlin. In spring 2026, they showed their new exhibition GROWTH in the spaces of KMB at Torstraße 140 in Berlin-Mitte, first during Gallery Weekend Berlin from 1 to 3 May 2026.
Growth without “more”
GROWTH looked at growth as an open, natural process rather than a race for more. In the exhibition, growth could mean a thickening, a break, a small shift or a deliberate gesture: materials that change, old crafts translated into contemporary objects, and the question of what authorship means today. Material became a creative partner.
JELLO in new colours
For GROWTH, the JELLO glass cloches came off the dessert table and onto long white shelves, in the new colours that joined the rose and berry tones, from pistachio and matcha to mandarin and black licorice. Each JELLO is hand-blown by Torsten Rötzsch in Germany, then cut and polished by Petr Slavík in the Czech Republic.
At the end of May, GROWTH returned to KMB for Berlin Design Week, and KNSTRKT joined JELLO: GROWTH at Berlin Design Week.
