That’s a Keeper is the new podcast by Malika and George from I Can’t Afford This But Maybe She Can, and I joined them for the very first episode.

The idea is simple: bring a few objects that mean something to you and start talking.

I brought old Danish enamelware, a few pieces from my rather excessive kimono collection, and KNSTRKT from the studio. Somehow that led us to childhood dollhouses, collecting, function, play, colour, and the idea that objects can become a kind of diary.

For the episode, Anne Deppe photographed some of the things we talked about in my studio. Objects I collect, objects I work with, and objects that have simply stayed around.

Looking at the photographs, it feels like quite a good snapshot of how STUDIO BERG works too: collecting, observing, rearranging, making, and finding something interesting in very ordinary things.

The full episode is out now on Spotify.
